Since the first teaser trailer was introduced, there have been numerous speculations and rumors of what will happen in the Frozen sequel.
Audiences all over the world are being transported back into the magical kingdom of Arendelle. The very first teaser trailer for the new movie “Frozen II” debuted for the first time last week, becoming the most watched animation trailer of all time with 116.4 million views in 24 hours. On Wednesday, February 13, audiences were able to see a glimpse into what the newest movie of the Frozen franchise would be.
Frozen has been one of the biggest successes for the Disney Company since the first film premiered five years ago in 2013. Through movies, shorts, merchandise, and transformations of the Disney Parks, Elsa and friends have taken thousands of Disney fans on adventures within the last five years, and now, they’re back for more.
In 2013 we were invited into the kingdom of Arendelle to meet Elsa, her sister Anna, and their sidekick Olaf. When the land was frozen over, Elsa had to save her sister and the kingdom. Since then, Disney has produced two Frozen short films. They were titled “Frozen Fever” in 2015 and “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” in 2017. This year, on November 22, 2019, Frozen II will premiere to the world. Audiences all over are excited to see what new adventures Elsa and company will go on.
In the new trailer, new seasons and characters are introduced. In the previous film, the only two seasons portrayed were winter and summer. Viewers see what looks like autumn in the new trailer with another female character who also seems to have special powers. The trailer opens with Elsa using her ice powers to help her run on the ocean. They enter what looks like the autumn season and this is where audiences get their first look at the new character. Not much of the plot was revealed since this trailer was only a teaser, but many assumptions have been made by the Frozen fans. The creators of the movie have said that we get to see more of a personality from Elsa in the second movie. The first Frozen movie ended with Elsa saving her sister, allowing her to begin discovering more of who she is.
A lot of people think Disney and Frozen are just for little kids, but many students at Bethany are also excited for the new Frozen movie. After talking to multiple students around campus, many Disney fans were discovered. Students who are specifically Frozen fans told me what they had to say about the trailer. Here are some of the things they said:
“I am so excited for Frozen II because I am still obsessed with the first one.”
“Idina Menzel is a queen, and the trailer made it look like not a typical Disney movie.”
“Frozen is my favorite Disney movie and the second one can only be better.”
